About dbhq

Developer

Susan Prosser is the president of dbhq. She's a reformed journalist, who's stopped trying to bring more data to the people and is now dedicated to helping people manage the data they already have. When you hire dbhq, you get the services of a seasoned pro. Susan's job is to make your database work the way your business works.

Author

With Geoff Coffey, Susan co-wrote the first FileMaker title at O'Reilly Media. FileMaker Pro 9: The Missing Manual is like the world's favorite database: open, approachable, user-friendly, but with unsuspected depth for those willing to poke around.

Susan is Technical Editor and contributing writer for Advisor Basics of FileMaker Pro. If you're a subscriber, you can read the current articles online.

Award Winner

Susan won a 2006 Mad Dog public relations award from FileMaker for helping raise awareness of FileMaker.

Speaker

Susan presented a case study on FileMaker's Instant Web Publishing at DevCon 2005. As a meta-consultant with Paradise Valley Unified School District (PVUSD), Susan helped develop a standards-based, online testing system. Students take multiple-choice tests on their wireless PDAs and tests are scored instantly. Teachers make data-driven decisions in the classroom based on whether the class has grasped the concepts she's teaching.
